Legendary Wigan Casino DJ Richard Searling sets the record straight in this fascinating book of his memoirs of probably the most famous Northern Soul Club - The Wigan Casino. In it, he dispels famous rumours about the venue and gives us a fascinating insight into his own experiences as one of the top Northern Soul DJ's in the world.

MOD ART - PAUL ANDERSON

Paul 'Smiler' Anderson is not only a very successful DJ and a true Mod Icon but a damn good writer too, in this his latest work Paul gets to grips with the art that has shaped the Modernist world since the very early days of the late 50s, through to the 90's featuring advertising to popular Mod art including album art, flyers, posters and fanzines, this book is a wonderful representation of how art and Mod culture combine. A must have.

WELSH MOD; OUR STORY - CLAIRE MAHONEY

Celebrated Journalist and all round Welsh top Mod Claire Mahoney has written this wonderful piece of work depicting the Welsh scene over the years and some of the incredible people that are very much part of it. You can tell when flicking through the pages that the passion runs deeply with interviews and amazing photography by Haydn Denman. Claire will be signing copies and will be part of a Q&A session at the Bristol Mod Weekender in March 2019. 

THE INFLUENTIAL FACTOR - GRAHAM LENTZ

Graham Lentz brings up to date his original book, The Influential Factor, A history of Mod, with interviews with some of the top people that have shaped the scene and looking very much to the future this new version of the book outstrips its predecessor and with the original changing hands for £100's it's worth grabbing a copy of this coffee table masterpiece as soon as you can.

Mods - The New Religion is an absolute masterpiece in Mod writing, Paul has gathered together incredible unseen photos, cuttings, tickets, flyers, label scans and interviews with original Mods as they lived through its early heyday, in this amazingly presented full-colour body of work Paul has captured the very essence of Mod culture. A truly inspired piece of writing.

MOJO TALKIN' - TONY BEESLEY

Tony Beesley's Mojo Talkin' - Under the influence of Mod is the latest in the series from this well-versed author of Mod literature, in this over 500 page work Tony delves into how outside influences have an impact on Mod culture, from popular culture through film, tv and music, the whole book has fascinating interviews with Mods of all ages and eras and fantastic unseen photos from interviewees personal collections. The book also interviews current Modernists and the growing young scene of today, Tony is also the writer of Sawdust Caesars - Original Mod voices, both books definitely worth buying.

SUAVE COLLECTIVE PUBLISHING

Cris Davies interviews Jason Brummell from Suave Collective about his ultra cool collection of short story novelists that have taken the Mod world by storm. Jason Disley one of the collective also tells us about his own successful novels in the series.

The book has now had a major release and Claire will be signing copies at the Bristol Mod weekender in March 2019. In this interview Claire gives us an insight into the making of the book and talks to us about her own history in the scene.
