STEVE ELLIS - BOOM! BANG! TWANG!

STEVE ELLIS - BOOM! BANG! TWANG!

ICONIC MOD-SOUL VOCALIST WITH 1960'S CHART TOPPERS LOVE AFFAIR RELEASES NEW STUDIO ALBUM BOOM! BANG! TWANG!, PRODUCED BY PAUL WELLER, CHARLES REES AND STEVE ELLIS.

"Maybe if we live long enough, we grow into what we always wanted to be. Just maybe, if we stick at what we love, it'll come around and come good. Steve Ellis has learnt the right to sing the blues he wants. And sing it he does!! - Paul weller.

Here at Suit Yourself towers we get sent lots of great music, which is a good job as we spend lots of time in the car so it gives a great accompaniment on any journey. Every now and again a real cracker comes through the post and this album is one of those. From the minute it was fed into the old fashioned CD player it hasn't really left, only had it a few weeks and it's already wearing out....

After the incredible success with Love Affair in the sixties and the massive Everlasting love which topped charts in 7 countries selling over 10 million sales, Steve returns in 2018 with an incredible solo album. Bringing the producing talents of Paul Weller and Charles Rees. Together with Steve they have created a timeless masterpiece worthy of any collection.

BOOM! BANG! TWANG! effortlessly moves through soul, rock, R&B, Reggae and pop with a slight tinge of Northern soul curtesy of Mr Weller. Other collaborative works are with long time friends Mike D'Abo (Manfred Mann), Kev Wallbank (The Dream Foundary), Andy Crofts and Ben Gordelier (The Moons) and COW. bringing together 11 class tracks.

Recently Steve has been performing as Steve Ellis' Love Affair and has produced two further solo albums 'Best of Days' and 'Ten Commandments' he also played as part of the historic Steve Marriott memorial concert with other musical legends Noel Gallagher, Peter Frampton, All Faces' Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones and of course Paul Weller.

He then went on to star in Ronnie Lane tribute show with Pete Townsend, Ronnie Wood and Slim Chance at Londons Royal Albert Hall.

All in all, Steve's influence has been felt in the music industry for 50 years, a true legend as can be seen by the artists who work with him.

We can't recommend this album enough, it's a great journey through the musical world of a Mod ikon.
